Started by a runner who got tired of reviews that read like press releases.
Stride Report started in a spare room with a shoe rack that had gotten slightly out of control. After years of buying trainers based on glowing reviews that turned out to be lightly disguised advertising, the aim here is simple: wear the shoes properly, for weeks rather than days, and write down what actually happens.
We buy the shoes we review ourselves wherever possible. When a brand does send a review pair, we say so clearly at the top of the review, and it has no bearing on the score.
The site covers everything from budget daily trainers to more specialist running shoes, always with an eye on whether a shoe is actually worth its price tag for the person likely to be reading about it.
